Standish Community High School has invested in a range of online learning platforms and websites to support students home learning. Below, you will find information and links to these platforms, all students have been issued with their login details for the relevant resources.
Oak National Academy

Oak is an online educational platform offering free, high-quality lessons across all national curriculum subjects. Every lesson is developed and resourced by experienced teachers, ensuring strong subject knowledge and consistent pedagogical quality. Its fully updated 2025 curriculum provides a complete and coherent model for Key Stages 1–4.
- KS3 (Years 7–9): Secondary-level resources for core and foundation subjects — e.g. maths and science units logically sequenced to build on prior knowledge. Oak National Academy KS3
- KS4 (Years 10–11): Resources aligned with GCSE-level expectations and often tailored to specific exam boards. Lesson plans, teaching materials and exam-preparation support are provided. Oak National Academy KS4
Sparx Learning
Sparx Learning is an online revision and homework platform specifically designed to support students with reading, science and maths. They are able to access videos, e-texts, questions and quizzes to support their learning in all three core subjects. All students have access to Sparx Learning with a single login that will work for all three platforms and can be accessed on any electronic device.
