Transition Dates confirmed : June 2026
Wednesday 24th June – Taster Day 1:
Students are to arrive at Standish Community High School between 8.30 – 8.45am wearing their normal primary school uniform. They can use the school buses and this costs £2 return. Students are welcome to wear appropriate trainers as they may have PE, Dance or Performance on their timetable. Students require a pencil case (something to write with) and are welcome to bring a packed lunch or money for their lunch. A meal deal (main meal, drink and cake/fruit) costs £2.70 We strongly advise students bring a coat and/or umbrella.
Wednesday 24th June – Transition Evening:
Parents and Students are to arrive between 5.30 – 6.00pm where there will be opportunities to speak to our Senior Leadership Team, Student Services department, Head of Year, SENDCo, browse uniform stalls/stands, speak to our Librarian and enjoy some refreshments. The parent/carer presentation will start promptly at 6.15pm – 7.00pm.
