If you are a parent and are unsure of where to start supporting your child with their post-16 options, see the below 3 steps to give you are starting point.

There are 3 things you can do …

1. 5 mins – do the buzz quiz questionnaire. This will match you to your Myers-Briggs personality type (one of 16 personality types) and you can research which job roles you are suited to by researching jobs with the 4 letters you will be assigned e.g ‘ENFP jobs’ https://icould.com/buzz-quiz/
2. 10-20mins – To find out which job roles you are suited to based on your strengths and interests, register to the prospects careers website and take their careers quiz https://www.prospects.ac.uk/planner
3. 30mins+ – Create a profile on the ‘start profile’ careers website. Complete the ‘about me’ section. Do the activities. See which jobs suit your preferences. You can also search for jobs by which sector they belong to, or by subject. https://guest.startprofile.com/world-of-work
