Lilya in Year 9 has always been proud of her beautiful brown hair: a gift she inherited from her Nana. Wanting to do something meaningful to support her Nana during chemotherapy treatment, Lilya made the selfless decision to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Her fundraising challenge is also a way of honouring the memory of her Auntie Lisa and celebrating her Auntie Susan, a proud cancer survivor who has been a constant inspiration.
The donated hair will be used to help create a real-hair wig for a child or young person experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment. Through her efforts, Lilya is helping to make a positive difference to the lives of others while supporting a cause that is very close to her heart.
We are incredibly proud of Lilya for showing such kindness, courage and compassion. Her fundraising will also help the Little Princess Trust continue providing wigs to young people and funding vital childhood cancer research.
